Should I be proud?
He sure is.

Start of Summer

This month has flown by - I love this time of year, when all the farmers markets begin, the festivals start, concerts by the bay, days at the beach, BBQ's - Northwest at its best. So, I guess we've been busy, Lucas had his last day at school yesterday so Summer has officially hit the Burbank house - now if the weather only knew that...

Gettin' the Garden Goin'

Lucas and I planted our garden this weekend. We still have lots to plant, but we got it started. Hopefully, with all I've learned at the Port Orchard Nursery (Lucas too!), we won't kill everything. I guess we'll wait and see. Wish us luck!

May Day Weekend

The weekend started Friday with a field trip to the zoo with Lucas' class. Daddy was chaperon :)

Saturday morning we went to a fishing event for kids sponsored by a local fishing club. They gave us the poles, worms, and a pond full of trout!

Lucas' first catch!

He didn't want to touch it.

Dinner.

Sunday was a beautiful day, so we headed to Hansville to Point no Point - the best beach on the Kitsap Peninsula.
Lucas was like a dog - running into the water after a stick, then rolling around in the sand. He was having a great time.
