Father's Day Weekend and Beyond...

Last Sunday we ventured to the Kitsap Forest Theater to see Mary Poppins. It was a beautiful venue and a great show, a bit long for Frances and a bit crowed for me, but we all had a wonderful time and I'm sure we'll return for another performance in the future.
After the show, we took a little hike down to the creek to explore.
Fast forward to this past weekend (Father's Day). Randy and I went to a friends Beach Luau Party. We had a great time. Haven't been out to a house party in a long time.
The scene from the Beach House.
Father's Day was spent up at Siouxsie and Eric's house. Jana was in town as well as Siouxsie's sister Amy, so it was a nice family gathering. Lucas found a chiton at their beach. Yeah, the only picture of the day.
Happy Father's Day!!

End of the Year Piano Recital

Lucas had his end of the year Suzuki Piano Recital. He played Lightly Row and Au Clair de la Lune. He did such a great job and we are so proud of what he has learned in his first year of piano!

First Haircut

Our little baby got her first haircut yesterday. Nothing too drastic, just enough to get the baby wispy hair that constantly gets caught and tangled. She was very patient and cooperative; we were so proud of her. Now, she's all set for summer!

Mother's Day Weekend

We spent the weekend at Camp Seymour. It was a beautiful warm sunny weekend. The kids had a blast doing archery, climbing the rock wall, swimming, canoeing, singing at campfire, and jumping in the cove, among other things. We shared a cabin with Siouxsie and family, which made the weekend even better. This will definitely be a Mother's Day weekend tradition.

Spring Break and Easter

The kids and I flew down to California for Spring Break, primarily to see my family, but also to escape our house, which is currently under construction. We had a wonderful week, hanging out at my parents getting lots of R and R.
The kids in the pool.

Making yummy cookies with Grandma.

Lucas is very proud.

Great job!

Out to dinner with Grandma Rose

Showing off the flower in her hair.

Getting our nails painted.

Making a snake.

We flew back home just in time for Easter.

It was a relaxing day - coloring Easter Eggs and eating candy.

And of course, an egg hunt.

Then an afternoon out at the park. To see last years picture taken at this same spot, click here.
It was a great week at my parents house. The kids had fun around the pool, playing with cousins, eating cinnamon toast crunch (which Lucas still asks for) and getting spoiled by grandparents. I am very grateful to my parents who take such good care of us when we visit. I can never repay you for all your generosity and kindness! I love you!
