Our big boy

Lucas has accomplished a lot these past couple of weeks. He is clapping his hands, waving "bye bye", balancing for a few seconds, eating more foods, climbing up on the chair and over anything in his path, blowing bubbles in the pool - during his last swim class last night, we were such the proud parents, and getting into everything! I fear the toilet paper is next to go. He is very active, but, still doesn't like to sleep. Every night I put him to bed and I say to myself "maybe tonight is the night." One of these days it will be the truth!

Swim Lessons

Lucas has started swim lessons! He loves the water, until he gets cold, which is about 30 minutes in. Good thing that's how long the class lasts. He is having lots of fun, enjoys splashing, and being with the other kids.

Time to get out.

Yard Sales Rock

Found this at a yard sale today for a dollar. I think it was worth the investment.

Nine months, Ohhh @#$%&!

Lucas turned nine months yesterday. Where has the time gone? He is doing very well, extremely independent. Hates to be locked up, in the car seat, pack & play, in your arms, anywhere that doesn't give him freedom, especially when you try to put on his diaper. He has six teeth now and experimenting with more foods, however, still doesn't eat much; loves to nurse. Climbing all over the house, on everything, must be watched AT ALL TIMES! (see last photo). He's starting to balance without hands. He is a happy boy. I only wish he was a better sleeper, I guess we can't have it all.

Loves to be in the kitchen with mommy.

Always has something in the mouth.

Enjoying his books

Locked up.

Shadow tolerating Lucas.

Fat lip... I'm sure there will be more to come.

Grandma Cathy and Aunt Christina come to town!

This last week was spent with family. Randy's mother and sister came to visit. It was Christina's first time meeting Lucas. We did lots of fun things together-took walks, explored nearby towns, shopping, ferry rides, "Sorry" games, movies, dinners, and playing around the house. We sure enjoyed their visit!
