Coronado Beach and Hotel

This Hotel is so beautiful. In my book it rates up there with the Royal Hawaiian. Plus, it has the beach to match - Huge, beautiful, white sandy beach. I could spend tons of time here. No problem. The beach, the bar, the hotel - its the whole package.

San Diego Safari Park

Randy had a rare day off so we headed out to the Safari Park. What an amazing place - A huge, open, expansive park - absolutely beautiful. We went on the tram ride through the African Exhibit, but we couldn't do any of the extras, like the caravan ride (the kids were too young), but would love to come back in the future and maybe do the camping trip. How cool would that be?!

Disneyland

Thanksgiving 2012 was spent at the Happiest Place on Earth! We enjoyed three magical days at Disneyland and California Adventure Park. The trip was made even better because my brother and his family were able to join us.
Let the magic begin!

This was my first trip to Disneyland during the holidays - it was stunning!

Notice Randy in line on the left (not looking too happy) - This picture was taken right after we found out Randy had to leave and go back to work.

To make things even worse - we waited in line for Splash Mountain - and then the ride broke down.
But, we got some great pictures of the kids!

World of Color - Fantastic show - and we were brought right up front by some incredible cast member!

It would've been the perfect show if Randy could've been there to see it with us. Luckily, he was able to come back that night.

Disneyland perfection!
The fireworks Friday night marked our last night together with Jeff, Michelle, and the kids. We had two fun-filled days with them. It's amazing how much you can jam in to two days and still not do it all. I guess that just leaves more for next time!

Randy was able to get back at a reasonable hour Friday night, so thankfully we could get up early Saturday morning and enjoy our last day in the park. First stop was Star Tours - which Lucas road twice, and which immediately became his favorite ride. Then, it was off to the rest of Tomorrowland...and as much of Disneyland that we could possibly cram in to one day.

The Enchanted Tiki Room - Frances experienced pineapple for the first time - yes, she loved it!

The only group picture we got - in front of It's a Small World. Oh well, at least we got one!
It was truly a magical trip to Disneyland. We all had a wonderful time. It would've been nice if we could have changed some things - like Randy not having to leave and go back to work on Friday - but it all worked out and wonderful memories were made. It was even more special that we got to spend Thanksgiving with Jeff, Michelle and the kids - Its been a long time since we've shared a turkey dinner! Hopefully, we can make this some sort of tradition. We'll see you guys at Christmas! Love you!
