Fathoms of Fun 2011

This year was a little different because Randy was in California, and he missed a good parade. The highlight for me was the World Trade Center beam - wasn't expecting to see that, very emotional - For Lucas - the candy, of course.

Visit with Fairlight

My good friend Fairlight came for a visit last weekend. She's at the end of her maternity leave, so we were lucky to see them! It was a wonderful weekend. The gang arrived on Saturday - first thing we needed to do was release the ladybugs! Then off to a party that some friends of ours were having. Sunday was recovery day, but we managed to make it to the park. Monday we went to a play date where the kids got to dig and play in a gravel yard (so much fun!) - then took the foot ferry to Bremerton - explored the water park and a new restaurant. Tuesday morning was our goodbyes. It was a great visit. I sure wish we lived closer :)

Last Sunday we ventured up to Port Gamble to partake in the annual Renaissance Faire. It was an absolute beautiful day; we spent the morning at the faire, then headed over to our favorite beach for some sun and sand.
