The hotel room the first night on the road.
Mount Shasta.
Our first stop in California was Siouxsie and Eric's. They kept Shadow for us so we could make the trip down. We owe you one!
My brother took me fishing. It was a great time on the lake, even though we got rained out.
Walking the old stomping grounds - crawdad fishing at its best - the creek sure isn't what it used to be. Good thing Lucas didn't know any different.
Lucas fit right in at Mrs. Carol's The Kids' Place Preschool. He even got to be "Special Helper" one day.
Flag Salute
Everyday Lucas got to create a different project - He really loves painting.
I think the best part for Lucas was hanging out with his cousins.
...and his Aunt and Uncle - Jeff taught him how to make a proper war face.
St. Patrick's Day done right at my Mother's house.
Lucas learned all about Leprechaun's and shamrocks.
It was a very special day...
Corned beef and cabbage, nothing better.
...A close second, my brother's pasta sauce.
It was a great three weeks in California. This last month without Randy was difficult, but my family made it a little easier. Thanks to them I was able to get through all of this without loosing too much of my sanity. Randy is now home, safe and sound. Life will soon get back to normal, eventually.
